'Cooking with Love: Ventures into the New Israeli Cuisine' by Ruth Milstein is the winner of the 2009 Best Mediterranean Cuisine Book from the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
Ruth Milstein was born in Israel and graduated from Tel Aviv University. After earning
a Master's degree in Art and Journalism, she went on to study Jewelry Design in Israel
and the United States. Although eventually making a career in designing jewelry,
her real passion and hobby was always food and cooking. Ruth was always looking for
ways to improve and change different dishes from various cultures and ethnicities.
Her extensive travel in Europe and the U.S., combined with original family recipes,
has brought forth "New Israeli Cuisine" in her book "Cooking With Love". Ruth currently
resides in New York City with her husband of twenty years
